Kids will learn how to use simple geometric forms to create cartoon characters in the popular Japanese anime style. Students will gain an understanding of construction and proportions as relates to figurative drawing. They also learn how to draw facial expressions and depict emotions, as well as dynamic movements and action.

This fun-for-kids class will also teach the principles of perspective drawing and background design, so that kids may place their characters into realistic settings. They'll also learn how to color their illustrations with watercolor, markesr and colored pencils to create a very professional look!.

By practicing these basic art skills, young artists will develop the confidence and ability to visually communicate their unique imaginative ideas and stories in a pictorial format.
