Lacy Park is located in San Marino California, a quiet enclave of sprawling, multi-million-dollar mansions: a place I could never even dream of affording to live! As a matter of fact, if you cannot show proof that you are a resident of San Marino, this park is off limits to you on the weekends! I suppose they want to keep out us "riff-raff" from less fortunate neighborhoods. It's really a shame, because I can remember riding my bike to Lacy Park when I was a kid back in the early seventies, and on the weekends there was always a sort of a"Woodstock" festival atmosphere there. Musicians of every race would gather and give impromptu concerts, the exotic rhythms of the drumbeats would charge the air with vibrant energy! But I guess those days are over...Ah well, so it goes...
