Josef Rubinstein has been a professional illustrator and portrait artist for 36 years, beginning his career at the age of 17 at Marvel Comics. In addition to his work for the comic book industry, Mr. Rubinstein is also an award winning illustrator, and hightly sought after professional portait painter. Course Fee & Enrollment Deadline
Fee for the 10 week class is $480 ($48 per lesson) and includes instruction and model fees. Art supplies not included. (e-mail me to request materials list).
New students may join the class mid-term and just pay for the number of lessons remaining in the term at the rate of $48 per lesson.
You may enroll in person at the studio the same day you join the class.

I With expert guidance from Josef , you will learn a method for understanding the underlying bone structures and musculature of the human face and head and how to confidently lay in the simple masses of the head to create a solid foundation for your drawing. Josef will show you how to use dynamic light and shadows to convey a solid 3 dimensionality to your portrait drawings. You will also learn to accurately capture the details that define the unique character and personality of the portrait subject.
